Description: 1920s porcelain enamel Septa sign. This sign was from the septa subway system. The deadly Spanish flu outbreak in 1918 prompted the city to install these signs around platforms throughout the subway system. The sign is mounted on the original wood backer still. Please see photos for the wear and tear on the sign. This sign was a family members who retired from septa and worked in maintenance. He gave me part of his collection to help pay for a new home. Thanks for looking. Best to you!
