Most of my auctions that you will see are items that I've held for decades. To tell the difference between an F and an XF, look for two things - on the front look to see if you can spot any swirls in Washington's hair. If they are rubbed completely down then it is Fine at best. Same on the reverse - look at the chest of the eagle. If the breast feathers are completely worn down then again, it is Fine at best. For an uncirculated Washington quarter, pay attention to the breast feathers and Washington's hair. All of my UNC quarters are very nice.
