1964 Moto Guzzi Stornello Sport 125

Description: 1964 Moto Guzzi Stornello Sport (America) 125cc. I've owned this bike since 2005, and it won a Best of Show at a local motorcycle show back in 2008. It has a custom paint job (2008) with period decals to make it look like an Italian version Stornello/Sport, not the Stornello Sport America version with the aluminum tank and high handlebars, which was its original livery. It has custom handlebars from a Stornello Sport/Zigolo, and the decal design on the tank is also for the Italian Stornello Sport. The seats are original to the 125 Sport, so it emulates a cross between the Sport and the regular Stornello cruiser. It was last driven regularly in 2017 when I was able to ride a motorcycle and take it to shows. The engine was rebuilt with new pistons and valves in 2008. It has a new battery and turns over and has good compression. It shifts perfectly and the clutch is in good condition. The chain and sprockets are well oiled and maintained and do not have any rust. The lights work, and it has a new front headlight and an extra spare headlight, used seat, and a few other parts, including the original handlebars. The chrome on the wheels has surface rust in areas but could be refinished. The tires were new and in good condition and hold pressure. The brakes are in good condition, and the bike has a set of extra new pads. There is a small dent on the rear fender (see photo). The exhaust is near perfect and was newly installed in 2008. The shocks were also replaced in 2008 and fully charged. The bike is located in Parkville, Maryland, outside of the Baltimore Beltway. You'll have to find shipping or pick it up. Believe it or note: one customer asked me if I could deliver it to him in Colorado for free. 🤔 The bike starts, shifts, and drives, but you will have to tune it and use high grade gasoline as it's been sitting for a few months. I can't ride anymore, and it needs to be driven, like anything Italian. It has a clear title, and extra parts and literature will be provided with the sale.
