Description: Stunning and substantial antique stained glass exterior door salvaged from 1890's home in Philadelphia. Has its original unpainted finish in good condition on both sides and original hardware intact, unbored for modern hardware. Also includes original key. The door features a large 28x48" stained glass window with a colorful central crest framed by a variety of textured and shaped pieces in the perimeter. This art glass is framed by an oversized 38x82" hardwood door frame with one lower panel and substantial ornamental dentil moldings both above and below the window. The door also includes its 3 original Japanned finish hinges, highly ornamental brass escutcheon and knobs with working mortise lock and original key. The door has never been modified for modern hardware; it is completely original. The glass has some damage as seen in the photos, but is intact except for 1 missing piece near the knob. The original finished on the door are beautiful, though there are a few isolated areas of surface damage. Door is 1.75" thick. Would make a striking exterior entry door, library door, bedroom door, etc. Easy garage pickup in Charles Village, Baltimore (21218), local delivery available, or nationwide blanket-wrap shipping available via independent transporter.
