Description: Size: 11.25" x 2 7/8" tall (4.5 Qt.) Saute This is an "new-age" Duparquet copper pan from Jim Hamann; made in the likeness of true, proper copper cookware (none of that thin display quality copper) but for a new era. (For those who are unfamiliar, there are also vintage Duparquet branded copper pots and pans. The original Duparquet was established in 1852 but succumbed to the Great Depression in 1936. The brand was revived under Jim Hamann who now continues the brand legacy at his Rhode Island workshop.) I purchased this brand new in late 2022 but am looking to move on as I simply do not use this enough to justify keeping it. Hand-spun in-house with a manually applied tin coating, cast iron handle, and properly thick copper rivets. Estimated to have been used at least a handful of times. Meticulously cared for, I've polished the pan once and would always make sure to lift when moving (given the tendency for copper to scratch as a soft metal) in addition to heating the pan with water after cleaning to avoid rusting of the cast iron handles. There are still some light surface-level scratches on the bottom despite this meticulousness but no dings or dents. No bubbling or anything of the sort (besides generic oxidation) re. the tin lining. For any inquiries, please feel to free to message and I will try my best to answer in a timely manner.
