Description: Acoustic Research’s AR-2 was an excellent speaker in its day. It received outstanding reviews and is famous for its sound quality. These are perfect for a vintage system today due to their timeless sound. The Original AR-2 are a bit more of a rare find. These speakers have solid cabinets and the Mahogany veneer is in pretty decent shape. This particular model does not allow for the grills to be removed easily so we cleaned everything and played thenm moderately loud to verify the drivers were all functioning properly. We experienced no distortion or break-up.
