Description: RARE, unusual one-of-a-kind attic find, completely original, untouched: Highly stylized, ornate 19th C. Victorian Baroque Aesthetic Movement, Cast Iron Tall Table Lamp Perfect focal display interest to enhance any room, wherever a special dramatic touch of ecclectic elegance & beauty is desired. Fabulous untouched patina; attic stored past 50+ years & forgotten. Appears finish was gilt originally & over time, a rich patinated bronze cast has appeared & quite beautiful. Pls review all photos carefully, The first 3, 4 were taken using camera flash producing a gilt color finish. The darker bronze finish color obtained in diffused daylight, no flash. Thus, when lit, lamp will appear gilt vs. a matte bronze color unlit, away from direct light source. Either way, a fantastic naturally aged fine patina, untouched. Look at the quality constructed, elaborate details throughout .. highly intricate & truly superb. The 6" diameter lamp base itself is a profusion of highly stylized ancanthus leaves, and easily rivals any Tiffany base we've ever seen .. WAY more impressive. Newish looking old stock long cord, works fine. Socket can be repositioned & interiors remain nice & clean ..both work as intended w/original pull chains. No play; securely affixed. Will need a suitable dome / round style shade; original finnial remains attached. No shade or bulbs are included. This stunning lamp is ready to use & display. Dimensions: 24.25" tall x 6.25 diameter base. 7" wide handle to handle. Weighs approx. 10 - 12 lbs. We find no maker's mark, only "B 1 4" stamped inside base. Weight is significant; heavy cast iron; not a light silver alloy form. Authentic period lamp not a reproduction. No loss, restoration, cracks, chips, damage, abuse nor warping .. true & straight.
