You just need to use the wire in a section that is below 221 °F, so that the vinyl insulation does not melt. This type K thermocouple wire frequently is used to connect K-type thermocouples to a type K thermometers, a PID controller or a machine PLC. The chromel alumel wire is made to ANSI standard thermocouple specifications. This is a solid wire, it is AWG 24 or about 0.5 mm conductor thickness, therefore especially useful for k-type extension wires.
