Description: Commodore Amiga 1200HD/40 Computer Recapped 1.6Mb RAM, ROM 3.0, and Mouse REFURBISHED CLEAN TESTED WORKING This is a very good condition working Amiga A1200. This computer was the top of the line for A1200’s. The system boots from the original hard drive. It comes with a working A1200 mouse, and a working A600 power supply. It has about 1.64Mb of RAM, ROM 3.0, KickStart 39.104, and WorkBench 39.29. There are several applications installed on the HD. The computer has been totally dissembled. All plastics, and shielding were washed and cleaned. The case and keycaps have been retro-brited and are almost the original color. The computer was purchased by me without a floppy drive, so an Amiga Floppy Adapter Mini3 and a standard 1.44 drive was installed. A new 3D printed eject button was fitted so no case modification was need. The Mini3 instructions are included. The disks insert and eject cleanly without rubbing the case slot. The motherboard has had a full recap, and was thoroughly cleaned of all dirt and dust. The mouse was opened and cleaned or all dirt and dust. The body and cable were washed and cleaned. The PSU is giving close to spec voltages and is very clean. A modern replacement is always recommended. The keyboard was totally dismantled and the internals cleaned. All keys on the keyboard were tested to work. The LED lights work as they should. The computer was purchased without case screws. I used what I had on hand to match the threading. Long ago, the rear of the case had been glued together then separated. The little plastics tabs that hold the top to the bottom are gone. The back case is slightly open (see photos). The floppy drive body is lower than the keyboard stand that is there to hold it in place. I placed a folded piece of paper in the gap. It is holding very firmly, but a better solution could be found. The floppy drive will not format a blank disk. At the time of refurbishing it, I didn't have an Amgia disks to test the reading function. This probably is a jumper issue between the drive and the Mini3 that I could not resolve. There are washers needed as spacers to hold the rear facing part of the floppy drive to the proper level to eject properly. The original eject and faceplate are taped to inside of the case. Some of the top floppy case metal was cut away to accommodate the case. Some of the keyboard gray keys are showing some discoloring from the Retro-Brite process. It is not much, but should be noted. The rubber feet are starting to decay and they have felt covers that work for now. There are a few nicks and starches about the case, but nothing to bad. There is a disconnected toggle switch at the rear left. The monitor is not included in the sale. A lot of work went into restoring this computer to try and make is new as possible. Please ask prior to purchasing the computer. eBay policies leave me with no choice but to mark each of my auctions with a “no return” policy. This is being done to protect me against returns such as (buyer’s remorse). After using the item for days and weeks, the buyer can submit a return and is not obligated to reimburse the seller for shipping charges and I have to pay for shipping charges back. Even though it is marked a “no return, “a buyer can still submit a return if the item was not as described or the item was damaged during shipping. Also, I do not need an eBay policy to do what is right and accept the item back if it wasn’t as described or damaged during shipping. Keep in mind, that I mainly sell vintage computers and vintage computer accessories. That said even though the box/item may not show damage, the internal mechanism may have been damaged or jarred from a rough truck and/or plane ride. I will work with ALL my customers to resolve the problem. Recently, I have had to take back items where the buyer didn’t check with mom/dad, husband/wife, or God prior to buying and did a return. eBay forced me to take the item back. Personally, I do not think that this is an acceptable way to return items. Many of the sellers on here are just trying to provide for their families and this kind of previous return is not fair to the seller. We are not Walmart or Costco that cannot absorb these financial damages. Again, I will work with all my costumers to ensure that they are happy with the item they purchased.
