Description: Exact fit bezel and lens. This bezel has knurled outside. Fits most 6" and 8" mitutoyo calipers. Internal dimensions are same as our smooth sided bezel. See my other items for sell. Mitutoyo earily models had plastic retention and used the knurled type bezel. Later models used a oring retention with smooth outside bezel. Both types of bezels will work since internal measurement are the same. To make the correct choice see your screw clamp, if its long then the knurled type fits better. The smooth outside type has a shorter clamp leg. See picture of both caliper types. Fits Mitutoyo dial caliper 505 series. Manufactured in USA by APM. Precision quality. To remove old lens and bezel, remove bottom screw and plastic clamp. Its the part clamping bezel for rotation. Pry up on bezel to remove. Be careful not to scratch caliper. Using a screw driver most likely will scratch. If using screw driver, then pry straight up. Not twisting screw driver. Best to first try using your fingers to remove bezel. The bezel is held in place with an o ring. Clean o ring and put on a very light coating of grease. If oring is not coated, then its more difficult to push on new bezel. Then seat o ring back into groove. Be sure o ring is completely in groove on caliper. Once all prep is done then remove new lens from package. Leaving new lens in package until installing with reduce the smuges and dust getting on inside of lens.
