DESCRIPTION: Offered at auction is a proud DAV Life Member garrison cap featuring multiple collected pins. This cap is from the Portsmouth, Virginia, Federal Chapter 22. It features a DAV patch on one site. This cap is either black or a very dark navy color with gold lettering and bordering. The inside has a yellow satin lining and brown leather band. The pins included on this cap are from DAV Pittsburgh, PA 1996; Amarillo, TX; Salisbury, North Carolina VAMC; DAV 1995 Titusville, PA; an American flag, among many others. This cap measures aprox 12in long and 5in high, with a tag on the inside indicating the size is 7-7/8. One side of the cap says "Life Member" and D.A.V. and the other side says "Portsmouth Fed. CH. 22." This cap was made in the USA of 55% Dacron and 45% wool. It was made by the Lancaster Uniform Cap Company, Los Angeles, CA and is "dry clean only." This item was from a relative's estate. CONDITION: Pre-owned. No rips, tears, or holes. Pins are attached to hat with a paperboard backing to keep the shape of the hat. Leather and lining are in good shape. Stitching is fully intact.
