Description: Listed here are five Boker, one Boker script, one H. Boker & Co., Three Boker USA. They are all being sold as Parts Repair or Study, although a few may work as users. This lot includes: H. Boker & Co's Cutlery, jigged bone senator- Two blades are broken on one end. Pen blade and file are nearly full. All blades have good snap and are tight. The jigged bone handle is excellent with a bar medallion, no cracks, wear or other damage. Very nice, aside from the broken blades. Boker USA, Delrin congress- Main blade has moderate wear, no snap, no play. Secondary is full, tight and snappy. Handle has had medallion replaced with resin. There is some sanding to the covers around it. Handle is otherwise excellent. This could be an acceptable user. Boker USA, Serpentine pen knife- Main blade shows evidence of sharpening, but is nearly full. It is tight and snappy. Secondary show heavy uneven sharpening. It also is tight and snappy. Handle is missing its medallion, but is otherwise excellent. This could be a user. Boker USA, Bone handle congress- All blades show heavy wear. The two on the pile side are tight and snappy. The spring is sprung from the center pin on the mark side so the blades have no snap and don't lock into place. Nearly all the bone is missing from the mark side. The bone on the pile side is worn, but has good color and is crack free. Parts or repair. Boker Script Hawkbill- Blade is heavily worn, but still has a good shape. It opens and closes soft and shows slight side to side play when open. The handle is split on the mark side. It is good on the pile side. This could be an acceptable user. Please see item photos and don't hesitate to ask questions. We buy, use and collect knives and tools, and have been burned by sellers who say something like, "Great item! See photos for description." Then find a major flaw or damage that wasn't mentioned or photographed. We examine everything we sell try to accurately describe its condition. If we describe a tool or knife as a good or excellent user, we think it meets or exceeds acceptability for it's intended use. The key words are, intended use. Buyers should understand the tolerance levels of tools they are using. The terms acceptable or light duty user means a tool has heavy wear affecting its usability. A pocket knife labeled thusly might be good for opening packages, but not general use in the shop or on the farm. We also try to point out any flaws, repairs or maintenance needed, like a cutting edge needing to be sharpened or with nicks. We do not think items labeled Parts, Repair or Study are usable. They may have salvageable parts, be a tool with broken or missing parts, or something we think may be of interest to other collectors. A rare pocket knife with broken blades may fall into this category. Or we may label it as collectable. This said, all item descriptions are based upon visual inspection only. We do sometimes make mistakes and appreciate it when other eBayers point them out to us. All measurements are approximate and are used for general descriptive purposes only.
