Kennedy Jr. and Michael J. Berman with publisher Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. in New York City in September 1995. It's tagline was "Not Just Politics As Usual". It was published from 1995 to 2001. After Kennedy was killed in an air crash with his wife and sister-in-law on July 16, 1999, the magazine was bought out by Hachette Filipacchi Magazines and continued for over a year, with Frank Lalli as editor-in-chief. With falling advertising sales, the magazine ceased publication in early 2001. Each issue of George magazine had the magazines namesake, George Washington, hidden or not so hidden, on the cover. Every issue has very clever and unusual ads. Each issue also had a main theme. This issue's theme is: Election Issue. This issue of George Magazine ~ November 1998 ~ has Peter Jennings on the Cover.
