Description: A nice, never utilized, tested, MTH 50-1035 DCS Explorer WiFi Track Interface Unit to enable remote control of MTH PS 2 and PS 3 engines with the MTH phone/ tablet app. Works with all Gauges (O/ S/ G and HO) of MTH PS 2/3 engines. Comes with compatible 3' power cord for connecting your existing transformer / power supply. **Note: The DCS Explorer requires use of the MTH DCS phone/ tablet app to control engines. There is no control device provided. The DCS Explorer provides the interface between the train / track and the DCS app on your phone. The DCS control functions available using the DCS App and Explorer include: Engine Selection > Select one of three active enginesStart Up/ Shut Down > Start the engine up or shut the engine down. Engine will do nothing until started.Throttle Control > Speeds the engine up (+) or slows it down (-).PFA > Pressing this button will activate the Passenger or Freight announcements inherent to the engine.BELL > Press to turn the bell sound on, press again to turn bell sound off.Whistle/Horn > Blows the whistle/horn for as long as the button is pressed.Couplers > Activate (open) front or rear couplers with sound effects. Sound Volume > Raise or lower the sound volume.Direction > Control / Change engine direction.Smoke > Control Smoke unit On/Off.Headlights > Control Headlights On/Off.Engine Reset > Reset Engine to factory default settings. This set includes the DCS Explorer WiFi TIU, antenna & DCS Explorer Quick Start guide and also includes a MTH compatible 3' power cord and a copy of the full MTH DCS Explorer instruction manual. The 3' power cable has a plug compatible with the jack on the WiFi TIU to enable you to use your existing transformer / power supply. Another power option is to use a MTH power brick (Z-500, Z-750 or Z-1000) which will plug directly in. **Note: the Z-750 is a 21 volt power supply****Note: While the DCS Explorer and PS 3 Engines work fine with DC power, PS 2 engines greatly prefer AC power and are polarity sensitive.
