This unit includes everything you need, including that weather pod. You should understand that these units come stock with 4 zones but are expandable up to 22 zones with the rain bird 6-station expansion modules (sold separately). You just add a many of the expansion modules that you need to get you to the sufficient amount of zones that you need. For instance, if you have a 12-zone sprinkler system you would need 2 of those 6-sta expansion modules, which would give you a total of 16 stations available.
