Description: UNIDEN Radar Detector Mounting Bracket with Locking Pivot and Sticky PU Gel Cup Base with Metal Radar Attachment Bracket especially designed for the Uniden R4/R3/R1. This metal engagement bracket is shorter than the other UNIDEN design and allows for a cleaner installation. Uniden Radar Detector Model Compatibility ONLY: R4/R3, and R1 Design:This UNIDEN mount design features a large lever actuated “sticky” suction cup and pivot arm allowing the attached radar detector (not include) to be set to a desired pitch angle on your vehicle’s windshield. The suction cup portion of the mount is constructed from a PU Gel (Polyurethane Gel Elastomer). This material is commonly referred to as a “sticky”, “power cup”, or “sticky gel”. The PU Gel material features a nano structure that allows for a strong adherence to non-porous material. This allows for excellent adhesion to your windshield in extreme weather conditions. Suction force against the windshield is created by an actuated lever. Simply press the lever down to create a strong hold and lift on the lever to break the suction force. The desired pitch angle of the attached radar detector (not included) can be locked into position with the adjustment knob. A locking metal bracket engages the radar detector in place allowing an additional 360 degrees of rotation. Remove the protective film from the bottom of the cup prior to installation and ensure attachment surface is clean and dry. If the suction cup surface is exposed and becomes contaminated with debris. Just rinse the suction pad with a mild liquid soap and warm water, and then let air dry to restore the suction cups adhesion properties.
