Victorian Settee Three Seasons Rare Cast Iron Bench

Description: Cast iron and wood settee in the Three Seasons pattern. The back is formed by oval medallions cast with one of the flowers and agrarian labors related to three seasons: a sower, a cultivator, and a harvester. Together the medallions illustrate the planting cycle from sowing to harvest. The medallions are encompassed within a larger disc with scrolls, foliage, and lilies and is topped by a crest with a cherub face. The seat is formed from wooden boards. The legs and armrests are composed of a scrolling design and terminates in pad feet. This elaborate design is in the Renaissance Revival style
