Description: BEAUTIFUL Vintage Art Deco Gustavsberg Argenta Scandinavian Art Pottery Stoneware Bowl, Silver Florals, Designed by Wilhelm Kage, circa 1930s, Sweden! ~ In EXCELLENT condition for age! No cracks, chips or repairs. Some typical wear with age as silver/paint loss. Some crazing lines to glaze (see photo). Clean. Patina left as found. Wilhelm Kage was a well- known painter who trained under Henri Matisse. He started at Gustavsberg in 1917 and worked there as artistic direction until his retirement in 1949. His Argenta is one of his most famous & highly collectible designs. Kage's works are displayed in the Museum of Modern Art, the MET, & many museums in Europe.
