Description: Vintage Navajo sterling silver concho belt circa 1970’s, commonly referred to as ‘chip inlay’ with American turquoise stones set in sawtooth bezels in each of the 9 conchos and buckle - Unsigned. This design originated in the 1970’s as an ingenious way to use all the turquoise stone available. The full stone was used as a featured element and the remnants were pressed into recessed areas within the overall design, so nothing was lost.
