🔥 Vintage Old Mexican Modern Folk Art Oil Painting, Jose Maria de Servin 1960s

Description: This is a lovely and whimsical Vintage Old Mexican Modern Folk Art Oil Painting on Burlap canvas, by esteemed Mexican artist, Jose Maria de Servin (1917 - 1983.) This work depicts the portrait of a young boy. The subject wears an ornate sombrero and holds a large blossoming flower, which is a popular motif of Servin. This particular piece is unsigned, but I have owned and sold several paintings by this artist over the years, and this piece is guaranteed to be an original artwork by Jose Maria de Servin. (I also have two other pieces by this artist in my gallery.) Servin's oil on burlap artworks are representative of his later period, and likely date to the 1960's - 1970's. Approximately 21 1/2 x 27 1/2 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 18 x 24 inches. Good condition for age, with a few speckles of light paint loss to the painted surface (please see photos.) Acquired in Los Angeles County, California. Jose Maria de Servin also taught summer art courses for 15 years at the University of Arizona. Jose Maria de Servin's mural productions were numerous.
