Description: Vintage Philips Philetta de Luxe B3D42A Tube Radio from 1965 -UNTESTED-READ DESC This German tube radio from 1965 is in great condition for its age, with relatively minor damage to the unit. There is some pieces of wood that are starting to degrade, but overall the unit is fully intact. The reason I've chosen to leave this unit untested is due to the fact that its a very old tube unit. I know of the proper procedure you're supposed to go about (slowly raising voltage on the tubes over many hours) when testing tube equipment, but I don't have everything I'd require to properly do it with out potentially damaging the unit or blowing the tubes. I have a Variac, but my unit doesn't tell you how much power is being drawn, only the voltage, so I can't safely test tube equipment with this setup. All the electronics inside seem to be in great condition though.
