VINTAGE RARE 1968 PING SLAZENGER DALEHEAD ANSER PUTTER

Description: This is a rarer version of a Ping Anser Dalehead putter with a Slazenger stamp on its sole. These were made specifically for Slazenger for the UK market. The putter is a Karsten Co Zip 85029 version of the Anser, used the same mold as the 1966/67 Scottsdale Anser. This is a Rocker sole version. Other is a Flat sole. Putter is 35.5 inches in length with original shaft with 9 inch first step and a partial piece of the Slazenger shaft sticker. Grip is a replacement Golf Pride Pro Only Action Traction, but is the same type of Golf Pride grip that originally came on the putter. The putter head is in excellent shape for a cast putter that is over 35 years old. Head has some minor bag chatter, but face is clean and a lot of the original casting marks are still present and visible. These putters and those with Jack Nicklaus stamped also on them, were made for the UK market and had 'Made in England' on the Slazenger shaft band. Slazenger used a different shaft than Ping did in assembling them, so they have a different first step, 9 inches vice the 9 1/2 used by Ping. Additionally, the 'Made in the USA' at the bottom of the cavity was ground out. This one still has 'Made in the USA' These Dalehead putters are almost identical (different shaft on these UK putters) to the Original Scottsdale Anser putters, but at a fraction of the cost.
