Description: Beautiful vintage 1950s/60s black coat with mink collar with an A-line shape. The coat is heavy. A gorgeous piece! Because there are no tags, I don’t know if the outer material is crushed velvet, but I found another seller with an almost identical coat that titled theirs “Black Faux Fur Sheared Persian Lamb Coat with Mink Fur Collar. 50s 60s Winter Dress Coat.” Features: - Coat: Slit pockets at the waist, decorative buttons in front, double layer sleeves, mink collar, lined. - Collar: Mink, hook and eye closure at neck. - Size: No tag but please refer to measurements in photos. Condition: Good overall. - Coat: Buttons still sturdy to coat; slit pockets have top hem that loosened so needs to be sewn if it can; lining has some discoloration/lighter spots and some wear in certain places; inner neck hem needs to be sewn if it can. No stains or holes. - Collar: Signs of wear and age. Front has a patch that has separated from the collar (I haven’t tried to repair it); a few areas where the fur looks less like hair and more like fluff like it is worn. The collar is anchored down in 3 areas by thread (see pics). If you want to remove the collar completely, you can probably just cut those threads without damaging the coat but do so at your own risk. If you do, then you will have a round-neck coat with no collar. Please see photos and zoom in for details.
