Description: MICHAEL SPENCER-JONES (What's The Story) Morning Glory? - Oasis (1995)(What’s The Story) Morning Glory? was Oasis’s second album, going on to become one of the top 50 best-selling albums of all time. Six singles were released from it including Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back In Anger and Champagne Supernova. Brian Cannon had an idea of a blurry image with two strangers passing each other in the street. Their identity is unknown and as he said, the point was: “You didn’t have any idea who they were, where they were going, what they were saying to each other.” Originally it was supposed to be Liam and Noel Gallagher passing each other, but Cannon claims: “They cried off, I think because they were pissed from the night before.” Michael Spencer Jones who had taken the photo for their first album was enlisted again. They decided on Berwick Street in London’s Soho which was a popular location for record and guitar shops at the time. They set up the shoot for 23 July 1995 at around 5am on a Sunday to make sure it was quiet. Cannon had to deputise as one of the figures in the photo (in the beige jacket on the right), alongside a survivor from the previous night’s drinking session, London DJ Sean Rowley. Further down the street the album producer Owen Morris is holding the record’s master tapes over his face.
