WW2 Mid-War US Army USGI M1910 T-Handle Combat Field Shovel AMES 1943

Description: This WW2 Mid-War US Army USGI M1910 T-Handle Combat Field Shovel is in fair condition and shows expected signs of age, service and wear. The shovel is clearly marked "US AMES 1943" and retains traces of it's original OD Green paint. Of note, 1943 was the last production year of the Model 1910 shovel, as it was replaced by the folding Model 1943 that same year. The shovel's blade shows pitting from use and long-term storage but still retains it's original profile and is securely attached to the handle. Although the metal does show damage and staining from age it is still strong. The wooden handle is clean and free from any serious, noticeable cracks. The "T" bar is still securely held in place and functions as you would expect. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of contents and condition.
